Acoustic Resonance can help with event planning. I am qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner with many years experience managing complex IT projects and also artistic events including:
- Director of the 1992 National Folk Festival
- project management services for the 2012 Australian tour of the Hungarian band, Tükrös, which included a music camp and a dance camp.
I can work with you to more clearly define the nature of your event and then develop a scope, approach and work breakdown structure, and document this is in a project plan, schedule, budget and risk register. I can also assist with grant and sponsorship applications.
As the project proceeds, I can attend planning meetings, take minutes, and maintain the schedule, budget, and risk and issue registers.
The main benefit of a formal approach is that it provides event organisers with a clear picture of what is to be done when, progress to date, and the significant risks and issues at each stage of the project. This makes it much easier to focus effort to best effect. It also improves the credibility of the project if sponsorship is being sought.
I can help you select and install a small-medium PA system.
For larger systems, I can document your requirements, and select an appropriate supplier using a formal tender process.
