Robin is a very approachable and friendly sound engineer with an excellent rig with a great range of mics. He is very generous with his time and has experience with a broad range of styles of music. Robin thinks deeply about the science of sound production, constantly investigating new strategies that he can apply in practice.

I have had Robin Nahum take care of the sound for chamber concerts for me for quite a few years now. Every event has a range of unexpected instruments and voices, and usually unprecedented combinations. Robin has never failed to get the sound well balanced, appropriate to the room, and, most importantly, expressive and beautiful. In addition, he is thoroughly professional in his approach to setting up, and works really efficiently at changeovers.  Most importantly, he doesn’t stand still as an engineer – if the sound was great last time, he’s always after something new to make it better. For Robin, there’s no thing called ‘perfection’. Instead, there’s the effort and musical sensitivity to get closer to it.

I have performed on a number of occasions with Robin on sound. I always found him to be a generous and friendly FOH engineer. He works hard to accommodate the needs of the players and what more could you want than that! I always found Robin made every effort to get the best out of the venue and the sound.
